
International Symposium on Ground Improvement
We are pleased to welcome you to the TC211 symposium, taking place at the Cité Internationale – Centre de Congrès de Lyon, France, from April 12 to 14, 2027.
This international symposium will gather researchers, engineers, and professionals to exchange knowledge and explore innovations in ground improvement.
The event is co-organized with the CFMS (French National Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering).

Organizing Committee
The Organizing Committee brings together representatives from academia, industry, and professional societies committed to promoting innovation in ground improvement.
The committee is responsible for the overall coordination of the symposium, including venue logistics, partnerships, communications, and technical program alignment.
Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee of ISGI Lyon 2027 is composed of leading researchers and practitioners in the field of ground improvement and soil reinforcement. This body is entrusted with the rigorous evaluation of submitted papers, the guidance of the symposium’s technical orientation, and the assurance of high scientific quality across all sessions.
The Venue
The ISGI 2027 symposium will take place from April 12 to 14, 2027, at the Cité Internationale – Centre de Congrès de Lyon, a modern conference center ideally located between the Rhône River and the Tête d’Or Park.

By plane
From Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport, take the Rhônexpress shuttle to Lyon Part-Dieu station (about 30 minutes), then continue by bus.
By train
From Lyon Part-Dieu station, take bus line C1 to the stop “Cité Internationale – Centre de Congrès.”
The Centre is also served by lines C2, C5, C23 and C26 depending on your starting point.
By public transport
The nearest stops are “Cité Internationale – Centre de Congrès,” “Cité Internationale – Transbordeur,” and “Petit Versailles,” all within a short walking distance.
By car
Take the northern ring road and exit at “Porte de Saint-Clair.”
Three public car parks (P0, P1, P2) are available near the venue.
By taxi
Taxi ranks are located at the main entrance (near the bear sculpture) and near the amphitheatre.
