Rhin-Rhône high speed line, France

Combine two techniques for the success of a railway project

Following the Rhin-Rhône high speed line project which will link Dijon to Mulhouse, Menard was awarded the ground improvement of the B3 lot, 35 km between Vesoul and Besançon.

Menard established a solution combining vertical drains to consolidate the marl and silt located at the bottom of the valley and jet grouting columns to improve the dolines and clayey karsts down to 25 m deep.

The project was characterized by an ever changing team of operators (4 superintendants, 10 site foremen, 3 jet grouting teams, 2 vertical drains teams) which encouraged discussions and knowledge sharing to meet with the client expectations.
