New approach for treating soil and ground water

In situ soil mixing coupled with chemical treatment is a new approach for treating soil and ground water. At the request of one of its Clients, Menard experimented in 2010 the improvement of  a brownfield in Voiron (Isère), where the soil and ground water were impacted from a sanitary point of view by the use of recalcitrant solvents. The treatment consisted in thoroughly mixing the soil with a powerful liquid reagent that yielded the desired reduction of initial concentrations.
