Menard was responsible for the soil reinforcement of a wind farm of 139 wind turbines. The soil to be reinforced was loess composed of 65% silt, 20% clay and 15% sand over a depth of soil to consolidate was due to the distance between the wind turbines; from 500 m to 1 or 2 km and 100 m in elevation difference.
The Menard group develops foundation solutions based on ground improvement and reinforcement technologies. Its treatments eliminate the need for the deep foundations traditionally used to support surface structures.
